Swedish massage is the foundation
of therapeutic massages.
It is based on the following techniques: stroking, rubbing, kneading, pressing, patting, vibrating. The selection of individual techniques depends on the nature of the problem and the specificity of the tissue, it is also influenced by the individual condition of the patient, his personal preferences and personal reactions to specific techniques.
The purpose of the Swedish massage may be to relieve pain, relax tense tissue, prepare for exercise, reduce swelling, improve the healing and regeneration process. Each time the purpose of the massage is selected individually on the basis of a conversation with the patient.
